The Liberated Birth is a birth ecosystem.
We are a birth community grounded in one enduring belief: Birth is deeply personal, and everyone deserves the freedom to navigate it with knowledge, dignity, and meaningful support. That includes the people giving birth. And it includes the people who support them. Families and birthworkers are not separate parts of this work. Together, they shape the birth culture we all experience.
Families carry their experiences forward into future pregnancies, parenting, their communities, and the people they continue becoming.
Birthworkers carry those experiences into the care they provide, the communities they serve, and the lifelong evolution of themselves and their practice.
Each influences the other, and together they shape the future of birth. That's why we call The Liberated Birth a birth ecosystem.
For families,
Liberation isn't arriving at the "perfect birth."
It's having the knowledge and confidence to navigate whatever birth becomes, knowing that your decisions are informed, intentional, and your own.
That is Liberated Decision-Making.
We don't tell people how to give birth.
We believe every family deserves to understand their options, think critically, and ask questions without fear or pressure.
Knowledge doesn't make decisions for you. It gives you the freedom to make them with confidence.
For birthworkers,

Every birthworker comes to this work through experiences that are uniquely their own.
Some are shaped by their own births. Others by loss, healing, culture, spirituality, family traditions, or years of professional study. Those experiences influence the care they provide, and we believe they should.
Our role is not to define who a birthworker should become.
We provide a strong foundation of evidence-based knowledge while encouraging thoughtful, competent, and ethical practice.
